Im looking to heat my home office at a stable temperature all day so it needs to be cheap to run. Whats best? 2- 3kw.Whats more economical? Oil filled radiator or convector heater?
Oil-filled should be cheaper to run, it is also more comfortable.
The only advantage of a convector is it delivers heat immediately. O.K. they are cheaper and lighter as well.
Convector heaters can also pose a fire risk as the heating element is exposed. There's also a smell of burning dust when you switch them on.
2 KW should be more than adequate.
