How can engine oil get into the water radiator on 2004 ford diesel?

More than likely if it is engine oil it will be a oil cooler located on the top of the engine, if it is tranny fluid it will be the in the radiator if it does not have a seperat cooler in front of the radiator. How can engine oil get into the water radiator on 2004 ford diesel?
warped head, blown gasket. How can engine oil get into the water radiator on 2004 ford diesel?
If you have an engine oil cooler it may leak inside the radiator and that is where you are getting your oil in your cooling system. To determine this, look for 1/2 inch metal lines that run from your oil filter housing up to the radiator.
Intake manifolds these days are junk. Some plastic.Aluminum heads on a diesel don't make sense but they keep making them.Thank goodness its not a disposable engine like Duramax. You can rebuild that Ford if need be.
blown head gasket
OOOOOO!! not good! cracked block, warped heads, damaged head gasket, damaged intake manifold gasket or it was put in.
there is a few ways for it to get in there 1 is if the oil cooler part of the radiator is leaking, 2 is if the engine is leaking oil in to the coolant system ie head gasket cracked block or head, intake to head gasket and such
Determine what type of oil it is. If engine oil it could come through the head gasket(s).

Transmission oil can come through the cooler in the rad.
