I have a 1976 460 engine in a f150 i have oil in the radiator but not in the engine?

144289 is correct to know what type of oil. If you have an automatic you have a trans cooler on the side of the radiator. If the trans cooler is leaking it will not only leak into the radiator but also water into the trans and burn it up in no time. If your trans fluid is running hot it will be dark red are black so check that also. I had this happen to my 64 Galaxie after a radiator repair and it locked the trans up.

If its the engine you might have steam at the exhaust also. You might not see water in the oil but you should see condensation build up on the dipstick and usually a lack of pressure in the radiator.I have a 1976 460 engine in a f150 i have oil in the radiator but not in the engine?
getting oil in your coolant should be head gasket(s).

the question now might be... do you have coolant in your oil?I have a 1976 460 engine in a f150 i have oil in the radiator but not in the engine?
not100% sure but i think it is the head gasket
What kind of oil, could be radiator, for transmission oil, or head gaskets for engine oil
