Why do i have oil in radiator of detroit diesel 60 series engine?

I agree with Dan and Bert, I say the oil cooler. I have replaced quite a few. Detroits are not bad engine, have worked on just as many Cats, and Cummins as I have Detroits. I am about 98% sure you have a bad oil cooler. Why do i have oil in radiator of detroit diesel 60 series engine?
If there is no coolant in the oil, your oil cooler is probably leaking.

If the coolant has black fuel in it it is most likely a head gasket.

If there is coolant in the oil, the cylinder liner o-rings are leaking. Why do i have oil in radiator of detroit diesel 60 series engine?
Blown Head gasket
More than likely you have a bad head gasket. The oil gallery holes on the gasket, are probably worn and oil is getting mixed in with your coolant.
cus your block is cracked or your seal is out on the head--more than likeky the block cus this is comon with detroit motors--i recomend a cat motor detroit is bad
cracked block, cracked head or leaking head gasket
possibly a cracked coolant passage near a oil feed port. but probably a failed head gasket. mabye a bad seal.

how is detroit bad? cat is having so many problems with their acert they acert buying guys trucks off of them. engines are removing the land from the pistons and having melt downs. that and its rumored that cat is losing so much on the acerts+all the emmisions stuff they have to develope that they may get out if the over the road engine bissiness. detroit currently detroit has the best mpg and lowest cost of ownership.
oil cooler, head gasket, or bad head
